Experience at da TATA CRUCIBLE Campus Edition 2009, Jaipur

The best Valentines day I could ever thought of !!!

It was our(myself and Sonal) 1st crucible(though it was 1st in Jaipur even) and we went without preparations, still we were better(atleast better den da guys frm other colleges).

We were highly elated to be one of the top 4 teams in da finals representing our college(though from our college ,we had a team in wild card round also, which unfortunately couldn't make to da finals).

The rounds were good, not dat tough in a sense and we gave a tough competition to the other teams...till the third round we were leading the game with 35 points on score board, but unfortunately the last question changed the direction of the game...

That was really unfortunate to hit da buzzer but i was very sure dat I'm right...I dont know whose fault was dat but da question was wrong dis time and we lost 10 on buzzer and finally stood 4th among all with 25 points....

Mind all, the question was wrong,not our ANSWER....
The question was a hint in itself and if we answered on da 1st hint we would have got 15 marks which meant a sure shot win with 50 points( even more than da winners wid 45 points)

He was born on 28th December 193* in Surat.
We widout wasting da time hit da buzzer and answered (Late Shri) Dhiru Bhai Ambani (who was actually born on 28th Dec 1932 in Junagadh, Gujrat, near Surat)

But we lost 10 points because according to Pickbrain we were wrong though he appluaded for our sporty and positive attitude later...

we didn't bothered about da 2nd and 3rd hint because we had lost da game on da last question...

But to our surprise da answer given by one of the teams was Mr Ratan Tata which was accepted and marked correct by Pickbrain.....Now whose gonna tell the TATA CRUCIBLE Team dat Mr Ratan Tata was born in Mumbai (then Bombay), not in Surat.....(as mentioned in TATA SONS official website... This was a blunder and certainly not expected out of the TATA CRUCIBLE Team.....

We lost da game which was already in our hand....
Thanx to da TATA Crucible Team.....

Such a blunder is not expected from gr8 companies like the TATA's and that too about its chairperson and MD Mr. Ratan Tata......

We lost da game and came back disheartened but we surely didn't deserved dis....

Though we are happy dat TATA CRUCIBLE Campus Quiz started being conducted in tier II cities like Jaipur and Jaipurites welcomed it with open arms.....

Hopefuly next year our fellow WISDOMITES will go to TATA CRUCIBLE CAMPUS QUIZ 2010 and will bring back da glory to our college(which we actually deserved).....
